North American Warranty Policy

General Policy for USA and Canada Optisan North America purchase only

Optisan warrants this product to be free of original defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is not transferable and as such, is limited to the original purchaser and must include copy of original sales receipt. This warranty applies only to goods purchased in the United States and Canada through Optisan North America and it’s authorized dealers. Optical products purchased through other OEM, package guns, or special exclusives are warranted solely by the seller.  At its option, Optisan will repair or replace this product without charge for parts and labor upon an inspection by Optisan that the product does not indicate a defect caused by tampering, disassembly, damage or any other warranty exclusion as listed within this policy. In the event of a non-warranty repair, you will receive an estimate prior to any work being done.

Optisan Riflescopes: Limited Lifetime Warranty. (One year limited warranty for illumination control).
Optisan Binoculars: Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Optisan Laser Rangefinders: One Year Limited Warranty
Optisan LED Flashlights: One Year Limited Warranty

● Warranty includes parts and repair of any factory defect of material or workmanship. A copy of your original sales receipt is required
● Should OPTISAN choose to replace the product and the product is no longer available at the time warranty service is required, a substitution of similar performance and equal value will be made.
● In the event of a non-warranty repair, you will receive an estimate prior to any work being done.

THIS WARRANTY ONLY APPLIES TO DEFECTS THAT OCCUR WITHIN NORMAL USE OF THE PRODUCT. THIS WARRANTY SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDES PRODUCTS UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

● Used in a manner other than specified in the owner’s manual.
● Not properly maintained in compliance with handling instructions.
● Altered or repaired, or evidence of attempt of alterations or repairs by persons other than a certified OPTISAN authorized repair service.
● Incorrect use of aftermarket accessories such as attempts to attach devices incorrectly to fast focus.

THIS WARRANTY SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDES THE FOLLOWING AREAS OF PRODUCTS:
● Windage and elevation caps
● Lens cover and sunshades
● Maintenance and cleaning
● All shipping, handling or insurance charges for the receiving and return.

THIS WARRANTY IS YOUR EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND REPLACES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN THAT EVENT, SUCH WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED IN DURATION FOR AS LONG AS THE PRODUCT IS OWNED BY THE ORIGINAL OWNER. IN ADDITION, IN NO EVENT SHALL OPTISAN BE LIABLE FOR COSTS IN EXCESS OF THE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT INCLUDING ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DEFECTS OR PROBLEMS CAUSED BY ABUSE, MISUSE, NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR, OR BY IMPROPER HANDLING OR INSTALLATION, AND THE WARRANTY IS VOIDED BY UNAUTHORIZED REPAIR.

Returns Processing:
RGA Number Required for return tracking: Prior to the return of any product a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number must be obtained from the Optisan Service Center at www.optisanoptics.com under the Technical Service tab. Every return must include a written statement detailing the nature of the claimed defect, and RGA number as well as your name, address, phone number, email address and a copy of the original sales receipt. It is your responsibility to package the return security (preferably in original packaging) so as not to be damaged in shipping.

What to include with your return:

1. A clearly written note explaining the nature of the return including your name, return address (no PO boxes please), email address (highly recommended) and telephone number.
2. Copy of your original sales receipt (will not be returned to you).
3. A check or money order payable to Optisan in the amount of $15.00 (for returns made in the USA). Alternatively a credit card payment can be processed though our website.

Shipping: It is your responsibility to ensure the safe return of any goods. We recommend that you use a method of shipping that provides you with a tracking number and insurance options to cover the replacement value of your product. OPTISAN IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGED, LOST OR STOLEN MERCHANDISE DURING SHIPPING

For addresses in Canada please contact your local Optisan Retailer where you purchase your product and they will process accordingly. Due to US Export control laws the US Optisan Service Center cannot return your product to a personal Canadian address. This must be processed through your Canadian retailer.
